Tell H2otown where to get her car inspected! Your wish is my command!

I've always had good luck taking my cars to Perfection on Pleasant St.
I too have always taken my cars to Perfection, though I realize it's a bit on the other side of town from East Watertown, but it is near Russo's!
My family has always gone to the Citgo in Cushing Square. Granted it is in Belmont, but the local economies are symbiotic (hence the Watertown/Belmont Chamber of Commerce) and those guys have been up there as long as I can remember.
I prefer the full service station in Newton Circle just past the hotel before you make your way around the circle(I forget the name)while you wait you can mozy over to Buffs for a Guiness and great wings.
I highly recommend Little Foreign Car Garage (they don't do just foreign cars or little ones either). They are one block into Waltham near Waverly Square (off Lexington Street). Reliable, honest, non-condescending, give ample warning if unexpected problems arise, can change tires at low, low prices. They work with an inspection station in Waverly Square but can take your car there for you if they are doing work on it.

My family has used Santoro's Servicenter for years and we are very pleased. There have never been any bogus repairs and we always understand what repairs are necessary and why. They are at the corner of Orchard Street and Waverly Avenue, 617.926.8102.
I can second the quality of work Santoro's does. I use to take my Cavalier there, but switched mechanics when I switched to a German car.
Another plug for Citgo in Cushing Square -- I have been going there for the last four or so years for inspections. In the same building there's an independent mechanic who specializes in VW repair. He is wonderful -- honest, knowledgeable, dedicated. His name is Murat. I don't have a phone #, but it's listed above his garage bay (on the Belmont Street side of the building).
