Peter's Kitchen

By H2otown - Posted on 09 August 2006

Driving through the Square yesterday I noted that this storefront eatery had a new (to me) name -- Peter's Kitchen.

Questions:
1. Was this formerly "Why Not Soup & Sandwiches?"
2. Have you eaten there? How is it?

As a new employee at the Watertown Free Public Library, I relied on Peter's Kitchen for mid-morning snacks and coffee for the two weeks just prior to our opening. I cannot answer your first question, but Peter's Kitchen serves a great, simple breakfast (pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, ENORMOUS muffins that they will grill and butter!), and plenty of sandwich and salad options for lunch. I have tried the Chicken Souvlaki wrap, which comes with a thick, grilled pita, delicious grilled chicken, feta, tsatsiki, lettuce and tomato.

So, if you couldn't tell, I give Peter's Kitchen big thumbs up!

Hey, Spennypants, thanks for the good info!
