Does anyone else hear the beeping at the Hosmer?
My girlfriend lives in the vicinity of the Hosmer School on Boylston Street. Most evenings when standing on her front porch I can hear a beeping sound coming from the Hosmer school. Some days it is louder and more annoying than other days, when it is a quieter mild nuisance. It seems that the level of sound seems to depend on which way the wind blows. beep.......beep.......beep.....beep.
My guess is that the beeping has something to do with the alarm system at the school (or maybe a giant alarm clock that isn't set right!) I haven't been able to do any investigative work up to this point, but thought I'd throw it out there for anyone in the vicinity of the Hosmer School to comment.
Does anyone else hear the beeping? Or am I just crazy?
I don't know, but I've heard that the Hosmer School is really haunted. Maybe it's ghosts. ;-)
I walk my dog around Hosmer School every night, and I hear the beeping. You're not crazy.
My suggestion is to inquire at the Hosmer School or even better public forum at the School Committee Meeting. Give them something to do.
It's the fire alarm. You can see the lights flashing. I have noticed it a couple of times on dark and stormy nights. I live on Boylston St.
