To Hell and Back. Flat Earth Theatre Presents “No Exit”

Flat Earth Theatre, a Watertown based community theatre group, is gearing up to present the existentialist drama, “No Exit”, directed by Kevin Mullins. The play, by noted French philosopher and playwright Jean-Paul Sartre, will be performed at Saint John's United Methodist Church on Mount Auburn Street (across from Starbucks) February 28th, 29th, and March 1st at 8:30 PM.

Three recently deceased strangers find themselves trapped in a room together, each discovering an object of attraction in one of their roommates, and an eternal foe in the other. Together, they are forced to face the harsh realities of their earthly transgressions, all the while enduring the torment imposed by their personal antagonist. “No Exit” depicts a netherworld not of fire and brimstone, but of psychological torture at the hands of others. Indeed, “Hell is other people.”

Flat Earth Theatre, started in 2006, has entered the Watertown arts scene with the goal of bringing quality theatre to the community. Flat Earth continues to encourage community involvement in all of their shows and activities. Past performances include “Joe”, written by Watertown native Kevin Mullins, and David Ives's “All in the Timing”.

Tickets for “No Exit” are priced $10 for adults and $7 for students and may be purchased at the door or by calling (617) 926-1245 to reserve. Visit Flat Earth on the web at http://www.flatearththeatre.com.

What's up with h2otown?

h2otown.info has been notably sparse on content the past couple of weeks. How am I to know all the dirt going on about town? I certainly hope everything's alright.

Notably absent was any significant mention of last weekend's Faire on the Square - and commenting seems to have dropped off as well. Where are you h2otown? We are lost without you! :-)

Another programming note: While I appreciate the community calendar feature of the site, does EVERY entry on the calendar need to appear on the front page? Makes it hard to sift through to find the the blog/news postings that I so desperately seek.
